Dayspring believes in touching as many hearts as it possibly can and has developed a variety of outreach programs designed to bring equine-related activities to an even larger population of people who can benefit from them throughout the Harrison community.
Available Outreach Programs Include:
Field Trips (On-site)
Dayspring facility offers the perfect balance to bring equine-related activities to whoever requires our therapeutic service. We can invite up to 10 individuals at a time, hosting on-site activities such as fishing tournaments, education in animal maintenance, bbqs, community service/ volunteering projects and various other activity based outings on our 20 acre farm. Groups may inquire about events, unmounted or educational service projects. If necessary, groups are required to provide adequate parental or staff support to maintain the safety and integrity of the group.
To read more about our programs see our Dayspring Brochure.
Field Trips (Off-site)
Dayspring is delighted to be able to share the magic of horses with our local community. We are fortunate enough to have volunteers who are able to come to you and facilitate these outreach programs in order to give participants a taste of the joy and wonder that can come from being with horse! We cater to residential homes, schools and community events.
To do that, we use Marigold! See our meet the herd page for more on her!
Workshops and Training
Our Trainer, Rich K, has worked around horses for more than 40 years and shares his knowledge in horse psychology 101 seminar. Think you have what it takes to truly hook on to a horse? What about using this knowledge to start(break) a horse in? Cullen Adams can show you how!
